Abstract

An important plant in traditional medicine, Lasiosiphon glaucus Decne (syn. Gnidia glauca) is a perennial shrub or small tree belonging to the family Thymaleaceae. As the plant has immense medicinal potentials, it has been subjected to GC-MS analysis for the first time and a total of 67 compounds were elicited from GC-MS by similarity searches in NIST and Wiley Libraries. Of the 67 compounds 32 compounds had drug like properties evaluated in QuikProp of Schrodinger software. After molecular docking with Glide of Schrodinger software, comparison of G-Score of standard drugs and ligands from L.glauca clearly indicates that many compounds of L.glaucus have the potential to bind, multiple target receptors of Breast cancer. All the leads identified Insilco can become promising drugs in treating the dreaded disease Cancer.
