Abstract

The bactericidal resistance against antibiotics has increased at an alarming rate and to overcome those process there is pressing need to develop bactericidal agents. The pathogenic species Aspergillus niger was exploited for the extra cellular synthesis of Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). The biosynthesis of AgNPs were   confirmed by UV-spectrophotometer. The FTIR Spectroscopy analysis revealed capping of silver nanoparticles. The AFM and FESEM analysis revealed average roughness, morphology and particle size in the range of 30-40nm. The AgNPs were then assessed for bactericidal property evaluated singly and in combination with antibiotics against human pathogens for comparative study, which showed the enhanced efficacy of antibiotics. Thus present study demonstrates AgNPs mode of antibiosis in combination with antibiotics was found to be more effective against multi drug resistant pathogenic bacteria which could be used as alternative remedies to control antibiotic resistance. The biological methods are good components as are environment friendly, non hazards as compared to chemical methods.
