Abstract

A series of novel cinnamamides (5a-5e) have been synthesized and tested for antioxidant activity using DPPH assay. Results revealed that compounds 5b and 5d shows excellent antioxidant activity as compared to standard. All the synthesized compounds were characterized by using IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and Mass spectral analysis.
