Abstract

The enzyme Periplasmic Amidohydrolase [EC 3.5.1.1] is an enzyme with a great biological importance. It is used as food adulterant, and has an immuno suppressive property but has gained importance as an antitumor agent. This enzyme is produced by several micro organisms, present in animal tissues, plants and serum of rodents but it is absent in humans. The screening of such an important enzyme is very crucially(crucial) and important. The present experiment aims to evaluate a direct one step mechanism to screen the microbes producing Periplasmic Amidohydrolase (L-Asparaginase) within 12 hours using Basic modified M-9 medium and to isolate the Alcaligenes faecalis and to purify the enzyme.
