Abstract

In the present study Quantitative Structure Activity Relationship (QSAR) studies were performed on selected pyrazolone compounds as antimicrobial agent. The compoundshas been established on the basis of analytical methods and advanced spectroscopic techniques. Three compounds viz. 4-Amino antipyrine thiosemicarbazone (C-8), 1-(2-Chloro-5-sulfophenyl)-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone (C-9) and 1-(4-Sulfoamido phenyl)-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone (C-10) recorded significant antifungal activity against Macrophomina phaseolina.
