Abstract

The sequencing of Human (Homo sapiens) including other eukaryotic “model organisms” and some prokaryotes have already been done. For handling this large amount of data, for further processing and analysis work, the conversion of genomic sequences into digital sequences i.e. Genomic signals are widely used. Genomic signal processing methods are powerful tool for the analysis of local and global features as well as for the analysis of genomic information. The review paper presents the different levels of HIV classification, genomic signal analysis of HIV I variability using phase analysis. It is significant to understand the evolution of HIV I deciphering its interaction with the immune system and developing effective control strategies. . It has been found that variability in HIVI can lead to multiple drug resistance due to altered RNA secondary structure in these cases
