<title>ISOLATION, IDENTIFICATION AND CONSERVATION OF POTENT HYDROLASE PRODUCER FROM DIFFERENT SOILS OF ODISHA, INDIA</title>
<abstract>In this investigation, innate fungal species were isolated from soils of Odisha and screened for their hydrolytic potentials. Utmost numbers of fungi were isolated from botanical garden soil (3 × 10 lessThan sup greaterThan 8 lessThan /sup greaterThan  CFU/g), Post Graduate Department of Botany, Utkal University, Odisha, India. Among 35 fungal taxa,  lessThan i greaterThan Aspergillus niger  lessThan /i greaterThan was most predominant mycoflora followed by  lessThan i greaterThan Aspergillus terreus lessThan /i greaterThan . All fungal isolates were accredited to nine genera like lessThan i greaterThan  Alternaria, lessThan /i greaterThan   lessThan i greaterThan Curvularia, Fusarium lessThan /i greaterThan  and  lessThan i greaterThan Mucor lessThan /i greaterThan  represented two taxa,  lessThan i greaterThan Penicillium lessThan /i greaterThan  by four taxa,  lessThan i greaterThan Rhizopus lessThan /i greaterThan  by 3 taxa and  lessThan i greaterThan Trichoderma  lessThan /i greaterThan represented one species.  lessThan i greaterThan Aspergillus lessThan /i greaterThan  species were dominant groups that represented about 18 taxa. All isolates were screened for hydrolytic competence and most of the isolates biosynthesized one or more hydrolytic enzymes.  lessThan i greaterThan Aspergillus lessThan /i greaterThan   lessThan i greaterThan terreus  lessThan /i greaterThan exhibited splendid diversity in biosynthesis of all investigated hydrolases.
