<title>ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY OF ACTINOMYCETES ISOLATED FROM CAPSICUM ANNUUM L. </title>
A total of 72 actinomycetes strains were isolated from lessThan i greaterThan Capsicum annuum lessThan /i greaterThan L. rhizosphere soils of Warangal, Khammam, Karimnagar and Mahabubnagar from Telangana State, India. Among these 25 showed antifungal activity against lessThan i greaterThan Colletotrichum capsici lessThan /i greaterThan and lessThan i greaterThan Fusarium oxysporum lessThan /i greaterThan . Among these 25 strains, three (OUA17, OUA18 and OUA27) were grown in starch casein broth for 6 days, centrifuged and powdered samples were extracted by rotary evaporator and were screened for antibacterial activity against bacterial pathogens viz., lessThan i greaterThan Escherichia lessThan /i greaterThan lessThan i greaterThan coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, lessThan /i greaterThan   lessThan i greaterThan Bacillus subtilis lessThan /i greaterThan and lessThan i greaterThan Klebsiella pneumoniae lessThan /i greaterThan . All the three strains showed growth inhibition against these pathogenic bacteria. Among the three strains OUA27 showed highest inhibition against lessThan i greaterThan E. coli lessThan /i greaterThan . These actinomycetes strains were identified by 16S rRNA sequence as lessThan i greaterThan Pseudonocardia lessThan /i greaterThan sp. OUA17TAVKSP, lessThan i greaterThan Streptomyces lessThan /i greaterThan sp. OUA18TAVKSP and lessThan i greaterThan Streptomyces graminearus lessThan /i greaterThan OUA27TAVKSP, deposited in NCBI database and the accession number given were KP013381, KP013382 and KP013383 respectively. The phylogenetic tree was constructed by using phylogeny.fr online phylogeny programs.
