<title>PHARMACOGNOSTICAL STANDARDIZATION ON LEAVES, STEM AND ROOTS OF GLOSSOCARDIA BOSVALLEA (L.f.) DC. </title>
lessThan i greaterThan Glossocardia bosvallea lessThan /i greaterThan is a one of the botanical source for the drug Parpatak for the treatment of different diseases like fevers, cough and fungal diseases lessThan sup greaterThan 02&amp;09 lessThan /sup greaterThan .The authentication of this botanical source in dried form is arduous. To prevent the adulterations of the drug whole plant of lessThan i greaterThan G lessThan /i greaterThan lessThan i greaterThan . bosvallea lessThan /i greaterThan was subjected to botanical, macroscopic, microscopic, maceration, histochemical and physico-chemical studies. Microscopical studies revealed the presence of vessels and fibers, narrow phloem, cortex with tangentially elongated parenchymatous cells in case of root, in case of leaf exhibited lithocyst consists cystolith, kranz anatomy, secretory canal on either side of middle vascular bundle and in case of stem it showed secretory cavities in cortex. Physicochemical parameters like a loss on drying, total ash value, acid insoluble ash, water insoluble ash, various extractive values lessThan i greaterThan etc lessThan /i greaterThan ., were carried out.
