10.22376/ijpbs.2019.10.1.p1-12 Volume 6 Issue 2 2015 (April - June) The present study shows that the Jammu and Kashmir state has a great diversity of plants belonging to Iridaceae family with different medicinal properties. The twelve explored plant species have multiple uses which were used in the treatment of different diseases and other conditions with different taxonomic features. All the twelve mentioned plant species were most widely used in various parts of the Jammu and Kashmir and especially in Kishtwar district.
