<title>Pharmacological Aspects Of Tapentadol </title>
<abstract>Tapentadol is a centrally acting FDA approved analgesic for the treatment of moderate to severe acute pain with a dual mode of action as an agonist at the μ-opioid receptor and as a nor epinephrine reuptake inhibitor. It is used in chronic pain like, post operative, Neuropathic pain and End- stage degenerative joint disease. Oral dosages of 50 mg, 75 mg, or 100 mg /six hours tablets are available. Common side effects nausea, vomiting, dizziness, somnolence, headache, decreased seizure thresh hold, fatigue and also has dependence liability.</abstract>
